Yesterday was free fishing day in Idaho, so we took Paul out for his first real fishing trip. He did pretty good, too. I didn't get him a little Snoopy pole because I couldn't find one in town here, but we got him a $20 setup, with a full 102 pieces and a free tackle blox at ACE Hardware. It is actually a more-than-sufficient setup, and he could cast about ten feet with it...not bad for a 2 1/2 year old! But Paul preferred to throw rocks in the lake, which was expected. He wanted to stay all day, but Noah and Mommy were getting anxious, so we headed home. It was a great day for fishing, but the catching was non-existent. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for our first backyard campout! Get your kids out there and just have fun!
